Living with Dementia – introduction – Dorothy-Anne Bryant

Creating Dementia Friendly Communities – presentation by Penny Ford, Alzheimers Society

Penny mentioned a couple of useful links:
www.dementiaaction.org.uk – this is where you can check which DAAs are registered under Local Alliances. If they have their own website, that is typically included on their page on the DAA website. It also has a range of ‘toolkits’ for different sectors http://www.dementiaaction.org.uk/resources/toolkits

www.dementiasomerset.org.uk – this is a really useful Somerset County Council  resource, supported by the Society. Penny will update the Dementia Action Alliance page soon.!

www.dementiafriends.org.uk – this is where you can find Dementia Friends sessions running in your area, sign up for an Induction Day to become a Dementia Friend Champion, and once you are a Champion, register your sessions.
